Take a look at our adoptable pets now!
Pets can
enrich your life. Sadly, though, many loving animals are
neglected and abandoned. Our shelter services aim to help as
many as possible, and large part of helping animals is finding
them loving homes.
Animals for adoption from the J B Ogle Animal Shelter are well
socialized, have been given their initial required shots and all
of our animals are spayed or neutered before going home. All
dogs are
implanted with a microchip ID which can identify a lost animal
at most shelters and vet offices in North America. Although it's true that you
pay a fee to adopt an animal, that fee is generally lower than
the cost of a spay/neuter surgery for an adult animal! And
adoption fees go right back into running the shelter and helping
more animals.
When you consider that a "free" animal often requires medical
care, spaying/neutering, registration, collar, tags, and may
have unknown or unanticipated complications, adopting from a
Shelter makes sense!
The J. B.
Ogle Animal Shelter actively seeks the adoption of unclaimed
animals. Adopted animals are automatically neutered or spayed
and have been administered certain required vaccinations.
Adoption Fees
Female
Dogs-$85.00
Male Dogs-$75.00
Female Cats-$60.00
Male Cats-$40.00
Prices include neutering or spaying and rabies shots for both
dogs and cats. In addition dogs receive a “pyrantel” shot and
cats receive a “nemex” shot.
Once an animal is chosen for adoption, and a deposit has been
paid, spaying or neutering is scheduled. The remainder of the
adoption fee is due when the adopted animal is picked up.
Adopted animals may be picked up one day after the medical
procedure has been performed. The veterinarians working with the
Animal Shelter perform the surgeries weekly but the specific day
varies.
