Municipal engineering departments are
established under the authority granted in Indiana Codes
36-4-9 and
36-9-6.
City engineers provide in-house advising
on public works and safety matters including, but not not limited
to, drainage, transportation (road construction and maintenance,
sidewalks, street lights and traffic signals) and wastewater
matters.
The city engineer is often the point of
contact for consulting architects and engineers that are under
contract to provide services with the city for various projects. Deb Ashack,

The Jeffersonville Board of Public Works
and Safety meets at 9:30 a.m. each Wednesday in the Mayor's
Conference Room at City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Ct.
The Jeffersonville Drainage Board meets
at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month in the
Mayor's Conference Room at City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Ct.
The Jeffersonville Sanitary Sewer Board
meets at 3 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month in
the Mayor's Conference Room at City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Ct.
The City of Jeffersonville
will host public forums to discuss progress on the downtown canal at
6:30 p.m. in Room 101, City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Court, on the
following dates:
