The Department of Economic Development manages the city's tax abatement program, permitted under Indiana Code 6-1.1-12.1, with local policy established by City Council ordinance 1996-OR-084. The Department of Economic Development shares staff with the Department of Redevelopment and often works hand in hand together to facilitate the success of specific projects. Grow Jeffersonville Grow Jeffersonville is a business networking group founded by the City of Jeffersonville in 2009. It meets from 5 to 7 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at the Sheraton Louisville Riverside Hotel, 700 West Riverside Drive. For more information, call Leah Farris at 812-285-6406. 10th Street Corridor Facade Grant Program The Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission is accepting applications for its 10th Street Corridor Facade Grant Program. Applicants who are approved for the program are eligible for up to the lesser of $10,000 or 50 percent of the costs of projects that meet the program's criteria.
